Exploration Booklet
This exploration booklet is designed to portray Wabi-Sabi in nature.
Wabi-Sabi is defined as a traditional Japanese aesthetic and philosophical concept that finds beauty in what is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
Wabi-Sabi
This booklet describes how in nature and in life nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect. I created this piece for a project in one of my graphic design courses at SCAD Atlanta.
Finding beauty in imperfection, transience, and the natural cycle of growth and decay.
Such Is Life
A fallen tree decaying to feed new life is quintessential wabi-sabi cycle of nature.
Beauty In The Impermanent
Asymmetry & Roughness
Unlike western ideals that often prioritize perfection and symmetry. Wabi-Sabi celebrates the unique characteristics.
